Using my "Gift"

My name is Zawadi and it means gift.

​ 

I am in love with the process of making art, the deconstruction of forms, and that moment when a work is complete. I want to create small moments of magic and beauty. 

​

Since the young age of three, I have been invested in visual storytelling, in developing and designing characters, and in building new and exotic worlds.

​

I traveled to really wondrous places growing up and my experiences left a lasting impression on me and my work. My aesthetic is a culmination of various multicultural ideas and designs.

​

As a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, with a BFA in Cartooning, and a teacher of 12 years, I have found myself embracing and illustrating a wide range of ideas and subjects.

Cartooning is my craft, art is my heart.
